The Windows Run Command

The Windows Run Command [Win + R] is one of the most used key combinations in Windows. It comes pretty handy for running common and system applications. The run command internally calls ShellExecute from the OS. Following is the order in which the command searches for applications.

* The current directory
* The Windows Folder
* The System32 folder
* Folders in the environment variable :PATH
* The App Paths registry key
